Andalucian Accent Anecdotes

I was at the fruit shop this week getting some much needed fruits & veggies. I ordered some ciruelas (plums) and the fruit shop owner asked me if I preferred the plums ripe or not ripe….“maduro o ma-duro.” (note: by ma-duro he meant “más duro”, just spoken in Andaluz).
“Máduro” I replied, cutting off the s in true Andaluz fashion.
“Espera, maduro (ripe) o máS duro (not ripe)?” he replied with a look of confusion.
“MAS! (not so ripe!)” I said, laughing.
Estaba en la frutería esta semana haciendo la compra típica semanal de frutas y verduras. Había pedido ciruelas y el dueño me dice “lo quieres maduro o maduro?” (Entendí que una de las opciones eran “más duro”, que maduro sería “andalu”).
“Máduro” respondí.
“Espera, maduro?” respondió el tío.
“MÁS duro!” dije, riéndome.
