From the height of the Irish summer and a "toasty" (!) 8 degrees C, I am torn between being jealous of Sevilla's sweltering heat and feeling relieved that I am wearing a jumper in July 😁 Enjoy the peace and quiet!

Wow 8 degrees in July! That’s a normal day in winter for us. Early this morning it was 21 degrees and we were relishing in the “cool” 😅

Yes, 21 degrees is cool over there and pool party weather over here! 😁

Some cties are strangely quiet in the summer due to the mass exodus to the beach for many. I also relish the chance to connect and see new perspectives!

Exactly, it's nice to mix things up every once in awhile! :)

I just spent a week in Cartagena, Colombia where the weather never changes, it is always way too hot and humid. I really enjoyed the city, but was so thankful that we had a really good air conditioner in our room at the hostel. But whenever we needed to use the restroom we were thrown back into a fiery furnace. My glasses would steam up when we left the room. But we adjusted, spending the morning roaming about the city and the afternoons drying our clothes and cooling down, then out again for the evening.

It was a lovely city, but a week was enough. Enjoy your summer!

It's definitely an interesting experience to feel how the extreme heat can shape how you live your day! And I have to say at least in Sevilla heat it's not a humid heat. If it was hot AND humid I don't think I (or my hair lol) could handle it. Hope you have a wonderful, less hot, summer as well! :)

This actually rather makes me want to visit Sevilla -- where I've never yet been -- in summer. Having lived in Bangkok, I'm not afraid of the heat.

Yes, if you’re not bothered by the heat I definitely recommend a visit in summer! I was just at Maria Luisa Park yesterday and it was almost completely empty. I love experiencing the beauty of the city from a quiet lens. And summer nights along the river are the best.

This is the first summer we are not visiting Seville in August! I told my Sevillano husband I needed to see Seville in any other season. Perhaps wearing a sweater with Christmas lights and open cafes and restaurants? I experienced 45 degree heat there one year and I've never felt anything like it.

You definitely need to come experience the city in another season! Fall and spring are my favorite times of the year but Christmas is nice too with the lights and ambiance of the center.

I was a part-time tour guide in Spain and even though most of the trips to Seville were in April or May, which were hot enough, sometimes a group decided that mid-summer would be a good time to visit the city. They very quickly learned their mistake. 🤣🌞😏

I bet it was fun leading those groups in summer 😅 how cool that you did that! I worked as a guide for awhile too but doing local tapas tours in the city.

I toured with groups of American school children. I would have much preferred the tapas tour! 😏😎
